Our individual housing contracts last for 12 installments and are valid from August 19, 2023 to July 31, 2024 coinciding with Indiana University Bloomington’s academic schedule.

Your apartment will include a full furniture package, high-speed Internet, cable, trash, water, sewage and access to all our community amenities. You will only be responsible for electricity.

Installment payments are due on the first (1st) of every month. If these payments are received after 9 a.m. on the fourth (4th), they will be considered late. Paying your instsallments is simple as you can drop off a check at our leasing office or pay online via our resident portal!

Yes! Our apartments come fully furnished and include a sofa, chair, coffee table, end table, entertainment stand, TV, and seating for dining. In addition, each bedroom comes with a mattress, bed frame, desk, chair, nightstand, and dresser.

Through the RoomSync app, residents are empowered to choose roommates and build a sense of community using lifestyle habits such as cleanliness levels, studying habits, sleep cycles, and more. RoomSync offers an experience that supports a diverse and inclusive matching community through gender-inclusive tools. Furthermore, the app recognizes the importance of living criteria like service and emotional support animals and factors this into the matching process.

Residents have the option to reserve a parking spot in our controlled-access parking garage. Parking will be an additional $70 fee per month.

Affordable Apartment FAQs

If you, or your guarantor, make $71,760 (120% of AMI) or less, you can qualify for affordable housing at The Standard Bloomington. You will need to submit pay stubs, tax documents, etc. to show proof of income to determine if you qualify.

AMI is the Area Median Income. The current 2022 adjusted AMI for the City of Bloomington is $59,800.

We offer three different floor plans for the Affordable Income-Based Apartments. The Sutton, which is a studio, the Ardmore, which is a one bedroom, and the Berkeley, which is a two-bedroom. Click here to see the floor plans!

Your rate will be dependent on your income in relation to the AMI of the City of Bloomington and the floor plan you select. Please see the Floor Plans page for the rent ranges for Affordable Income-Based Apartments and contact the leasing office to determine which income range you fall into.

All applicants are still responsible for application fees, administrative fees, and a security deposit. Your security deposit is dependent upon the Application Type chosen.

After you’ve worked with a Standard Bloomington leasing professional to qualify, our team will set up your application for you and send you a direct link with the chosen floor plan and correct rate. After the application is completed, your lease will automatically generate.

Yes! If you select the Berkeley apartment, the two-bedroom Affordable Income-Based floor plan, you will still be eligible to utilize RoomSync for roommate matching. All roommates in the Berkeley floor plan must meet the qualifications.
